RumLab is a desktop application made by VIGOMEDIA that helps creators produce subtitled videos in batches. We care about your privacy and keep the information we collect to the minimum needed to run your account and provide the service. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

We keep things simple and only collect what the service actually needs:

• Account information — the email address you use to sign in.
• License status — your package, license expiry date, and the activation status of your account.
• Basic usage information — general, non-sensitive details such as sign-in activity and the machine your license is activated on, used to keep your account secure and running correctly.

Importantly, the app processes your media on your own machine. Your audio, video, photos, and finished exports stay on your computer — we do not upload or store your project files. To generate subtitles, the app sends your audio to a third-party transcription service, Uniscribe, which converts speech to timed text and returns it to the app.

How we use your information

• To create and run your account, and to activate your license.
• To provide the service — including checking that your subscription is active.
• To offer customer support and answer your questions.
• To keep the service secure, and to improve reliability and features.

Where your information is stored

Account and subscription details are stored securely using Firebase / Google Cloud, a trusted infrastructure provider. These providers maintain industry-standard security practices to help keep your data protected.

We do not sell your data

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. We only share the limited information necessary for the service to function, as described below.

Third-party services

To provide RumLab, we rely on a small number of trusted third-party services:

• Firebase (Google) — for authentication, hosting, and secure storage of account and subscription data.
• Uniscribe — for speech-to-text transcription used to generate your subtitles.

Each of these providers handles data under its own privacy and security terms.

Your rights and choices

You are in control of your information. You can:

• Access the account information we hold about you.
• Edit your profile and account details.
• Request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us.

Cookies and local storage

Our website and app use cookies and local storage for essential purposes only — mainly to keep you signed in during a session and to remember your language preference. We do not use them to build advertising profiles.

Children's privacy

RumLab is a professional creator tool and is not intended for children. The service is not directed to, and should not be used by, anyone under the age of 13 (or 16 where a higher age applies). We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as the service evolves. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review it occasionally.
